I have a deep appreciation for beauty, and an extreme reverence for nature. The dualistic nature of smooth minimalistic perfection against the natural and chaotic effects of time, weathering, and mother nature. Smooth glassy water behind a hurricane-battered pier on a long exposure print.
I make minimalist seascapes along the Mississippi Gulf Coast, where the horizon, weathered structures, and shifting tides become stand-ins for memory and resilience. The work is shaped by daily drives along the beach. I am not documenting a location so much as searching for the emotional trace it leaves behind. Piers reduced to fragments, solitary poles in open water, and shelters standing against the horizon become signs of endurance, fragility, and renewal.
I am a fine art photographer from this coast. I work with duality, presence, and the textures of time.
I trained with mentor Anthony Lamb through the Capture Beyond program. I draw on wabi-sabi in its true sense: beauty in impermanence, imperfection, and the natural passage of time. At the center is reverence for nature, and a commitment to authentic, lasting work.
